CASE STUDIES

Case studies that show the full build, run, and defend cycle.

The case studies on this page share one pattern: an organization came to BetaBoxTS with a single urgent project, and stayed for years because the work held up. We publish these case studies light on adjectives and heavy on specifics.

What to look for

Case studies from BetaBoxTS client engagements across three practices

Note where each engagement started — software development, managed IT and hosting, or security and compliance — how long the relationship has lasted, and whether the case studies cite verifiable outcomes.

Grounded in federal standards

Where compliance work appears, the claims map to NIST SP 800-171 controls, CMMC milestones, and CISA hardening guidance, so an assessor can check our math.

Project delivery timeline tile from a BetaBoxTS engagement

References are on file for every engagement these case studies describe.

THE MATH

Three vendors leave gaps.
One agency answers for all of it.

The typical stack

A developer who ships the site and disappears
An IT vendor who bills by the ticket
A security consultant who visits once a year
Every incident starts with three phone calls
Three invoices, three versions of the story

The BetaBoxTS model

One team across Build, Run, and Defend
A security review inside every release
Monitoring that pages us before you call
Compliance evidence collected as work completes
One invoice, one standard, one number

"I started BetaBoxTS because small organizations were inheriting enterprise-grade problems with none of the enterprise-grade protection. The threats have gotten faster since then. So have we. Every client gets the same standard we run our own brands on, because a recommendation you won't follow yourself is just a sales pitch."

STRAIGHT ANSWERS

Asked before you had to ask.

Do you replace our current IT person?+

Usually we back them up, not box them out. Many clients keep an internal person for day-to-day and lean on us for monitoring, security, and the heavy projects. If there's no one internal, we become the whole function.

What does CMMC readiness actually involve?+

A gap assessment against the controls you're held to, a plan of action for the gaps, the implementation work, and the written policies and evidence an assessor asks for. We keep it current so you're not scrambling before an audit.

Can you take over a site or system someone else built?+

Yes. We start with a review of what exists, tell you plainly what's solid and what isn't, then stabilize it before we change anything. No blowing up working systems to justify a rebuild.

What happens when something breaks at 2 a.m.?+

On managed plans, monitoring pages us before most clients notice. You reach a real person, we work the incident, and you get a plain-English write-up of what happened and what we changed so it doesn't repeat.

We only need one thing. Do we have to buy everything?+

No. Each practice stands alone. Start with the one project you need. Most clients expand later because the same team already knows their environment, but that's your call, not a package.

Start with one project.

See where it goes. A free assessment costs nothing and usually surfaces a risk worth knowing about.
